On the occasion of the Day of the African Child, the Association of Bloggers in Cameroon (ABC) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) are organizing a contest for the best essay entries.
đź“ŚThe contest is open to journalists, web-journalists and bloggers residing in Cameroon and consists in writing an original article/blog post with rich-media content (photos, videos, graphics), on this year’s theme: “Access to a Child-Friendly Justice System in Africa.” The author of the article will have to choose one of the following angles:
1- The situation of children detained in prisons;
2- The situation of children in conflict with the law;
3- The absence of an effective inventory of the structures for the support of children,
4- The difficulty of identifying responsible parents/relatives;
5- The situation of the children who continue to do petty trade on the streets;
6- Covid-19 and its effect on children.
đź“–The article should be posted on a website or blog. The article’s link as well as the Word version of the file and the accompanying illustrations must be sent to the following e-mail addresses:

đź•™Deadline for submitting entries is on 14 June at 11PM Cameroon time. The four best entries will be awarded by UNICEF, with prizes to include ICT gadgets and smartphones.
